Catherine Whittaker


Catherine Whittaker has spent her life in serving others. She recently retired after 45 years of service as a nurse.  She is a certified childbirth instructor and Lamaze educator, and she mentors young women who are pregnant. She was recognized in 1989 as Employee of the Year for the Labor and Delivery Department at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and received the Child Advocate of the Year in 1987. She is an advocate for animals and hospice and family bereavement help. She is part of “Real Transitions” that helps women transition from prison to society. Other service includes being involved with religious activities and numerous committees. She is currently Ms. Utah Senior America 2018 and 3rd runner up at the Senior Nationals held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Catherine is a mother of 4 children and grandmother to 7 grandchildren.  She is an example to all and a new friend to many.
